Credit card companies offer many incentives to choose their card over another card. One way they try to do this is to lower or eliminate fees, as in no annual fee credit cards. An annual fee is basically a service charge the credit card company makes to a person’s credit card every year. It is like the credit card company charging the person for using their card. So no annual fee credit cards basically offer a person a free credit card.

Many times the annual fee is used to make up for savings on other fees. For example, many card companies offer low interest rates, but charge a higher annual fee. Other times the savings on cards with lower interest rates are void when one figures the annual fee into the equation. Many people are starting to catch on and are now looking for these low annual fee credit cards.

To find a good no annual credit card a person should compare a variety of no annual fee credit cards. By comparing they can find the card that will cost them the least amount. Many times credit card companies wave the annual fee for a certain amount of time or they raise interest rates to make up for the loss of the annual fee. The main things a person should look at is how long the no annual fee applies and how much it will be once the no annual fee time period expires. This could mean the difference in saving big or losing big. It is important to look at a variety of cards to get the best deal.

No annual fee credit cards are best for a person who will use their card sparingly. This is because the interest rates are always going to be higher than with other cards. A person who does not use their credit card very often will not have to pay a lot of interest and end up saving quite a bit of money. However, a person who uses their card a lot might end up paying more in interest then if they went with a different card.

No annual fee credit cards are a great deal for some people. The key to finding a good no annual fee credit card is for a person to compare different cards and understand their own spending habits. This will ensure that they get the most from their no annual fee credit cards.

You can save a lot of money if you use a no interest credit card from your bank of choice. This is because you can use the card to transfer other debts to it so that you can pay off debts without the added interest. But there is no such thing as a no interest credit card that stays without interest forever. Banks only usually use these cards so that they can introduce their credit services to new customers.

The thing about credit card companies is that they will look for ways to charge your for everything that they can. Even when you get an no interest credit card offer, this will not remain without interest forever. Some will allow the zero interest to carry on for as much as 6, 12 and even 15 months. And this means that when you are done with that amount of time you will be charged with interest for the following months. Make sure that you know about the offers first before accepting any of them. However, these cards are useful because if you can transfer other debts to it then you will be able to get rid of those debts without the hassle of charged interest. Check with the credit company that you go with if they will offer you a card that allows balance transfers.

If you apply for a zero interest card, you should always read the fine print. Some companies will charge you an annual fee and this is just outrageous if they don’t offer you some kind of rewards program at the very least. Be wary of those offers and make sure that you see all terms first before signing anything.

Do you belong to a frequent flyer program or are you looking to join one, just being promoted on your local radio station?

Does your current program convert into worthwhile benefits for you at the end of the day? Have you been able to consolidate all your spending so that it reflects accrued miles for every dollar you spend?

These are some of the questions that need to be answered for you to be able to say with certainty that you obtain the best possible results from your participation in your frequent flyer program.

Many people are lured into joining this or that FFP simply by clever marketing techniques that may not necessarily provide them the best outcome for earning reward miles. Take the offer of frequent flyer credit cards for instance. Just to entice you away from your current provider, the banks (usually) will offer you 10,000 to 20,000 bonus award miles. They will even offer miles for transfer of balances. This is where you need to do the maths. Usually these types of cards will attract not only a yearly bank fee, but you will also be charged for belonging to the frequent flyer program. This can easily amount to $100 per year or more. Then there is the question of interest rates. How much does this provider charge? And so on. It really is a case of not everything that glistens is gold, so check into it before you change.

In order to get the most benefit from any frequent flyer program you need to have a pretty good idea as to where you spend your money and what airlines you use. Seems pretty obvious doesn’t it, but you would be surprised how many people join up to a FFP and then realise that the participating airline doesn’t fly into their home airport, so flights may not accrue points. A large number of people also will join an awards program because of a tempting offer but then realise that they will be able to earn limited points because the spending habits don’t match with the program’s partners.

Despite all this, the frequent flyer program, when used effectively, is a great way to work towards a bonus when enough accrued miles can be redeemed for either free travel or upgrades, or some other desirable product that will be on offer. Many people don’t have to change their spending habits at all, just choose wisely the program that they belong to. Frequent flyer miles are able to be earned for just about anything these days, including home mortgages. These are regular payments that have to be made, so being able to earn reward points for them seems like a great idea to me.

The best advice is always to get to know your frequent flyer program as best as you possibly can. This way you will be able to maximise your points and be able to take advantage of the best that these programs can offer. Whether you are looking for ticket upgrades, or the priority treatment at airports it can’t be achieved until a sufficient number of mileage points can be accrued. By getting to know your program you will find that there will be many opportunities for you to earn double and even triple bonus points not only through your travel but through your retail purchases as well.

If you owe a large amount of money on an existing credit card and have a high APR, balance transfer offers can seem very appealing. Many credit card issuers will give you a great deal on APR if you move your balance (and business) to one of their cards. While these offers certainly have their good points, as with any financial decision make sure you read all of the small print and do not take the offer purely on face value. Balance transfers can certainly save money for many cardholders, but in some cases they can be a costly mistake.

There are many variations in the balance transfer deals available. Some credit card issuers place a ceiling limit on the amount the offer applies to – for example you will only receive the special rate for up to the amount of £5,000 on your balance transfer. There are some credit cards available which do not cap the amount and which offer an indefinite period to pay off the debt at the special rate, but the APR will most likely be slightly higher than those which specify a time limit. Some balance transfer offers even give you an introductory interest free period but these generally have the shortest time limits before the balance converts to the card’s standard APR. Most of these deals mean that if you are looking to consolidate your debt, or are aspiring towards debt free living, a balance transfer credit card can be a shrewd choice.

However, they are not a suitable option for all cardholders. If you are intending to make further purchases with your new card, a balance transfer credit card can be an expensive mistake in some cases. The special rate the card offers may only apply to the balance you have carried over. Any new purchases will accrue interest at the credit card’s standard – and potentially much higher – APR.

Your monthly payments will be put towards clearing the initial balance first, while your newest purchases remain unpaid until this debt has been cleared in full. If you have used your new credit card to make several thousand dollars worth of purchases you will have a large sum of money incurring interest at a high rate, and the figures can add up rapidly. If the amount you initially transferred was also substantial – and you do not have the financial means to clear it quickly – then you will not be able to take action to clear your new, high interest, balance for a long time.

To avoid getting yourself into financial difficulty ensure that you have read the terms and conditions fully. Look at offers from other card issuers so you can compare their APR and make sure it is genuinely a good deal. Then find out exactly what the special interest rate applies to and how long it will last. There are some credit cards which give you an introductory period of low APR or 0% interest on both the balance transfer and any new purchases, but you will need to shop around to find these.

Finally, remember that your credit history may have some bearing on the number of deals a credit card issuer can offer you. A good credit rating will put you in a much stronger position for shopping around.

Are you the traveling kind? Is travel your passion? Well, here is good news for you! Earn a free ticket through travel rewards credit cards to absolutely any location as long as you time in an average of 2,400 miles! A dollar is equivalent to one mile so all you need to do is charge all the items you have acquired to your travel rewards credit cards. Aside from these requirements, there are also other privileges offered by these travel credit cards.

Here are some helpful tips that you might consider in selecting the best one for you:

Go for the one that offers 0% annual percentage rate. This means that as a customer, you will not be charged with any other additional fees or interest rates for having a balance that is more than satisfactory. You should also note that this 0% annual percentage rate is only offered during a certain time period, which usually lasts between 6 months to 1 year. Do not be alarmed if the APR rates will spike up right after the promotional period because this is very normal.

You get so many traveling incentives and privileges. These benefits come in different forms – among them are insurance packages for travel accidents, travel support, and delivery of cash in urgent situations and emergencies. Mileage points can also be redeemed with an affiliated airline company. Plus, your rewards credit cards are not only limited to travel privileges. You can also make use of them in major hotels, car rental companies, and a few selected restaurants. Through these additional benefits, a customer can add more airline miles from items procured in these outlets.

The moment you make your first purchase using your card, most often than not, lenders immediately honor you with 5000 to 17,500 miles. But these types of privileges are only limited to a specific airline company. The redemption of mileage points also has deadlines or expiry dates, which is why you need to have them cashed out within the honored period.

If you think the 24,000-mile goal is easy to achieve, then you better think twice! It is a good thing companies have been able to address this problem already. This is why they have made it easier for customers to gain more from each dollar. Points can be doubled if customers purchase products from the company’s affiliated establishments and stores while others can gain up to 6 miles per dollar they spend at affiliated restaurants.

Fantastic rewards are also being offered by companies nowadays due to the tight competition they have with other companies. You can get fabulous benefits, such as upgraded certificates, reduced mileage rewards, extra miles through online approval, and many more! And these are just some of the many privileges you get to enjoy with rewards credit cards!

Credit cards with outrageous fees and mile-high interest rates are slowly declining in popularity, as more people realize the benefits behind no annual fee credit cards. Why pay to spend with a card when the card issuer already wins from your weekend splurge at Nordstrom’s?

This isn’t to say that all credit cards charging yearly rates are a waste of time–plenty offer special perks and bonuses to their cardholders. However, there’s a lot of useful information you may wish to know about cards without annual fees.

No-Fee Must Know’s:

o	Find a no-fee card but don’t like the listed APR percentage? Many credit companies can review your credit history and if they like what they see, you can potentially snag a lower rate.

o	Many cards allow customers to go over their credit limit or make a late payment without penalty. However, it’s necessary to check the small print, because repeat offenses may hurt you.

o	Make sure you read the fine print–your no-fee card may roll over and charge you a fee after extended periods of time.

o	Many card issuers charge high penalty rates on late payments, making up for an annual fee that isn’t charged.

o Sometimes no-annual-fee credit cards don’t offer all the special perks like travel miles or insurance that other types of cards do, so it’s best to compare credit cards.

6StarReviews.com reports that one card in particular, Discover More, offers some great perks in their no annual fee credit card reviews. Discover More offers cardholders a great APR rate, travel accident insurance and versatile cash back bonuses.

There are positive signs in the credit marketplace, which is a great sign that individuals are recognizing the need to spend in moderation. About 40% of all credit card holders have a balance of less than $1,000. Also, about 70% of consumers haven’t had an account or drawn out loan that was older than 90 days. For those of you who can foresee yourself falling into financial traps, it’s necessary to take precaution.

What is a no interest credit card? The card itself is an offer from credit or bank card companies and they are originally meant for new customers to try out credit services with those card companies. If customers like what they get, they will continue with that company but the zero interest offer will not be something that lasts forever. In fact, these zero percent offers on no interest cards will only last for about 6 to 15 months. It depends on who is offering what so you will have to look at your different offers.

How can you save money using a no interest card? Well, since the zero interest part of the deal can last a few months, it might be enough time for you to transfer some of the debts of your other cards to the new card so that you can pay off the balance without the added interest. This is a really good opportunity for those who have a hard time paying off their credit card debt because of the high interest rates. You just have to make sure that you pay off the debt completely before the end of the zero interest offer.

Where can I apply for a no interest credit card? You can get these from credit card companies or from banks but you have to read the terms and conditions that will vary between institutions. For example, you should not sign up for a credit card if there is an annual fee but no rewards program you can enjoy.

No one ever gets anything for free, and frequent flyer miles sound especially too good to be true. Every dollar you spend on your credit card counts toward free airline tickets? The truth is that the airlines will do anything to avoid putting the cash back in your pocket, but with a few simple tricks you can master the art of the frequent flyer points and fly for free to your next destination.

First, it pays to read the fine print. Before you sign up for a frequent flyer credit card, be sure you know all the regulations on the card. You can also sign up for a mailing list that will alert you to special promotions and deals. Choose your card wisely. Many will give you more bang for your buck. Research the card’s partner companies. Sometimes you can earn double points by buying books at specific book stores or buying your groceries in certain places. If you master the system, you can multiply your points. When you fly, be sure to charge your plane ticket to your credit card. Don’t be afraid to use your friends. They can buy your free tickets from you in cash while you pay for theirs on your credit card. While you are collecting flyer miles, keep track of all your flights and statements. Mistakes can be made, and when they are, you need to call the credit card company or airline to straighten them out.

Airlines will often tempt you to spend your frequent flyer miles on something other than free flights. They lose money every time a frequent flyer gets on board their airplanes, so of course they will try to get you to spend your miles on something other than your flight, which is basically cash redemption. Airlines will often tempt you to drop your flights in exchange for magazine subscriptions or other promotions. Be wary of these deals. If you cash in your miles for cheap flights or club memberships, you risk losing money on the transaction. Many of these frequent flyer credit cards have annual fees attached. You don’t want to trade in your miles for less than the annual fee, at the very least.

You don’t actually have to fly to earn frequent flyer points. With a special credit card you can earn points paying for almost anything. Put your child’s college tuition on the credit card. Put a big, social dinner on your credit card and ask your dining partners to give you cash for their meals. As long as you pay your credit card bill on time and avoid incurring the high interest fees, this is your best way to earn extra miles.

When you have finally raised enough frequent flyer miles to take your dream vacation to Elche in Spain, you will get the best value for your miles by acquiring your tickets early, ideally a year in advance. This will ensure that you get the best seats and upgrades for your air miles. Try to choose a flight that won’t be crowded with weekend travelers. Travel midweek or take an afternoon flight to avoid the early morning rush. The airline will appreciate your courtesy and you will be rewarded with better deals.

Having a credit card is great but once you have maxed it out, it can be quite harrowing paying the monthly bills. There is another way to make the payments lighter, though. By getting another card, or a zero percent interest credit card, you can make a credit card balance transfer. This will help you spread out the payments so that they are lower and the interest won’t be as painful to your wallet.

Balance transfers are easy but you should really take different factors into consideration before jumping into it. You will need to see your current credit standing to check if you have a good credit history first. If you have a good credit history, you can get a zero percent interest card and this is great so that you can pay off your debt slowly and without the interest when you transfer your balance to that card. You can save hundreds and even thousands of dollars a year if you do a credit card balance transfer.

You should then think about how much you should transfer so that you can make payments easier for you. It is really important that you have a right attitude about credit or bank card balance transfer because you will be paying it off until you no longer owe anything at all. This means that you will need to be very obedient to the rules of, for example, zero percent credit cards. Make sure that you don’t pay late so that you can get rid of your debt faster.

If you have a new credit card that offers rewards points, but you aren’t quite sure how the system works, the information presented here will help you. Let’s take a look at what credit cards with rewards points programs are, and how you use them.

Rewards points are an incentive to use your credit card. Each time you use your card, you receive points based on the amount of money you charged. These points accumulate and can be redeemed for many different rewards, depending upon the card you’re using. Rewards can include:

Airline miles

Free or discounted gas or groceries

Free or discounted hotel rooms or other travel accommodations

Free tickets to movies or events

Priority alerts and/or admission to events

Cash rebates

Household and entertainment items

Your monthly credit card statement will give you an overview of how many points you’ve earned, based on how much you’ve charged. Credit card companies or your bank will provide you with a catalog of rewards, or have a catalog available for viewing online.

The catalog will outline how many points you need to earn for a given item. If you are redeeming points for airline miles you will have a running total of miles earned. Note that when you redeem airline miles, your reward is calculated differently based on the credit card and your airline.

There is a points to miles conversion that happens that can be a bit confusing. Your airline can help you understand how this works. It’s important to know that your credit card rewards points most likely have an expiration date, so you must pay close attention to that date or you stand to lose your points.

Most points are easily redeemable through the credit card or bank website, or by completing and order form. There are also customer service phone numbers available for all the major cards if you prefer to talk to someone when going through the process of redeeming rewards points.

Having a credit card that offers rewards points is a great thing! For each dollar you charge, you earn points for stuff – how great is that? If you are aiming at a high point, super reward, remember that you have to use your card to get those points (just be wise about it), and remember that if you don’t redeem those points before they expire, you will lose them.

Some people prefer to use their points towards smaller rewards for this reason. Make certain that you are using your credit card wisely and you will find that using your credit card to earn rewards is definitely a “value added” situation.
